Ghent, Belgium, September 20, 2019
Following the planned activities of the COST Action CA15225, within the 4th Grant Period the Annual Workshop took place in Ghent, where the achievements following the Tasks defined by the individual Work Groups were presented.
This year, 14 speakers presented and discusses their results and future plans. The topics covered the areas from mathematical description to practical utilization in analysis, modelling, classification and/or control of different applications. Newly, the possible usage of fractional approach in cryptography was presented by Fatih Ozkaynak from University of Firat, Turkey. The fractional chaotic systems provide higher entropy and are suitable for more robust cryptography protocols.
Dana Copot, the local organizer, invited also Dr. Dimiter Prodanov from IMEC research institute, Leuven, Belgium. He joined the discussions during the WG meeting the day before and contributed to the Annual Workshop as the last speaker with topic on Dirac decomposition for the time-fractional diffusion equation, where he discussed the reduction of the order of the fractional transport equation using Dirac factorization procedure.
Karmele Lopez de Ipina (University of the Basque Country) was also ready to present her results in biosignals and the fractional order entropy, but was excused. Still, her achievements were partially presented by Marcos Faundez-Zanuy (University Pompeu Fabra, Tecnocampus). Originally, also Prof. Praveen Agarval (MC Observer from Anand International College of Engineering, Jaipur, India) approved his participation, but after all was not present.
The Book of Abstracts can be downloaded here, where you may find more detail about the presented topics.
